About Us - Board of Directors

Jim Mantooth - Board Member

Volunteer work with the Land Trust, stewardship activities related to Ennis Arbor Farm and Ennis Creek, and help with family farming in Oklahoma keep Jim Mantooth's days almost as full as they were during his 30 years as a pediatrician atJim Mantooth Peninsula Children's Clinic and as a father of two sons who grew up in Port Angeles.

Protecting farmland and salmon habitat are particular passions, although he said he appreciates all the qualities of land the Land Trust helps ensure for present and future generations. People also make Land Trust work rewarding, Jim said.

He enjoys getting to know property owners who have completed permanent agreements to protect qualities of land through the Land Trust, as well as Board members and other Land Trust volunteers. Jim has served three terms as president, two as vice president, and has helped lead the Land Trust Development Committee. He currently assists Conservation Committee co-chairmen, John Willits and Bruce Moorhead, with that committee's leadership.
